Three Bucks Girls Selected onto ECB Regional Development Centres

Cara Duggan (U15), Ella Claridge (U15) and Hannah Bates (U16) have all been selected onto ECB Regional Development Centres for 2018.

Cara (Holmer Green CC) has been selected onto the Southern Vipers RDC, Ella (Leighton Buzzard CC) onto the East Midlands/Loughborough Lightning RDC and Hannah Bates (Ballinger Waggoners CC) onto the Surrey Stars RDC, with players having been assessed for different centres based on geographical location. Tilly Mason (U17) was also on the Southern Vipers RDC programme in 2017 but turned down the opportunity for this year to better balance her other sporting commitments.

Players will fulfill their RDC commitments alongside their County fixtures and training. Each RDC will run a winter training programme in the new year and then, new for 2018, a festival format between the centres will take place towards the end of the summer.

Bucks Cricket Board Head Coach, Rich Hudson said: "It's fantastic news for these three girls who have worked so hard to develop their skills and abilities over the past few years in the Bucks Cricket Player Pathway and on our Emerging Players Programme. It is a testament to their talent and potential but also for the work we do in Buckinghamshire to ensure our young cricketers have every opportunity to go as far in the game as they can."
